This map shows the development in human height over the past 100 years. Men born in Netherlands, Belgium and Estonia in the late 20th century are the tallest in the world with an average height around 182 cm (5 feet 1121⁄32 inches). The shortest average height in the data was women born in 1896 in Guatemala, El Salvador and Peru who had a height of just above 140 cm (4 feet 7⅛ inches).
